Simple Joy ~ Gavin DeGraw

It's Monday. Time for Simply Joy.

I tell you what... nothing has brought me more joy over the past two weeks than this man's music. I can not stop listening to it. I can not stop singing it. The words run through my head as I sleep. The nananananana's are rolling out of my mouth upon waking. I have not seen an artist that has moved me like this in—hmmmmmm—ever.

The more I hear of his music, the deeper I fall into it.

Gavin DeGraw. Yes.

Here's a taste of the glory...

Or try this one. The soul of the music shines through profoundly here, friends.

I'm not done yet. Check out this most fantastic Sam Cooke cover. Good God this is great!

Now if you've made it this far, you're in for a special treat. This next song ROCKS. I've been somewhat paralyzed in performing my daily duties thanks to this song. I try to leave the house, but I can't stop dancing, singing, and proclaiming my love of life... over and over and over again. Wow. What is happening to me?

I could not find a video that does justice to the blow-your-mind quality of this song. So here's the audio. Turn it up. And jam.

  1. Hi Judith, I'm new to your blog, so maybe it's user error, but I don't see your video/audio for Gavin DeGraw... I agree completely with your commentary though, so I would love to see what you're watching/listening to!

  2. Hi Anon,

Welcome. So glad you're here. The videos can be fidgety sometimes.

For instance, they don't come through at all with the Feedburner Email Subscription, so if you're receiving my blog posts straight to your email box you likely won't see the videos.

Additionally, they won't play on my iPhone because of the lack of flash support on Apple's mobile devices, so you won't play them there either even if you're on my website.

The only surefire way to see the video content I post is to click through the links straight to the Dance While You Cook website from a real computer.

I hope my answer provides some insight into why you can't see the embedded YouTube/Vevo content. Be in touch if you still can't get to the videos and I'll send you links. These Gavin videos are too good to miss.

  3. Did I say fidgety? Wow! I meant finicky, fussy or persnickety. Not fidgety. Multitasking often leads to a few of my brain cells getting left behind.
